The Lost was Found

Rachael and crew there in FL had a little saga come to a conclusion today (Friday).

Rachael had ordered from a company called Jaftex - which is the parent company of Henry Glass, AE Nathan, Fabric Editions, Blank Quilting, Studio E Fabrics, and FreeSpirit. Rachael began negotiations for this fabric back in July - July 9 in fact.

The order was finally put on pallets and shipped from their warehouse on September 3.

Rachael hadn’t gotten the fabric and wondered why it was taking so long. Then, on Sunday night (6 days ago now) she received a notice from the shipping company that they had lost the shipment!

Lost a shipment!????????

It was 4 pallets of fabric. How do you lose that?

So on Wednesday she started to file an insurance claim on the fabric - after all, it is over 20K worth of fabric! We can’t just ‘lose that’! They asked her to wait til Monday to file the claim.

And guess what?

They found it!

Yes they did. The pallets had been sitting in a warehouse of a big clothing store in Bradenton, Florida for three weeks!

So the fabric arrived a month and 5 days after it was shipped from the Jaftex warehouse in SC.

Too funny!

Now that the pallets have arrived, we can say that the whole situation was funny. This was a matter of ‘not a little’ prayer and inquiries.

We are so relieved it arrived!

Shortly after these pallets arrive, the bolts are taken out of the box and the sorting process starts!

And we would so much rather have the fabric than have to deal with an insurance claim!

You will be seeing these fabrics in the coming days. They are lovely!

And thus ends the saga of the missing pallets!

Everyone needs a happy ending once in a while, right?

Have a great day wherever you are reading this! Thanks for coming along with me on my quilting/sewing journey!
