"Lady Doctor" - our next Quilted Twins quilt kit

While I was in FL last summer, Rachael asked me to make a pattern using some of the wonderful medical fabrics and this panel she has.

She thought people didn’t truly appreciate these panels that she had gotten in. They feature doctors. We have the female and male ones.

Here is what I came up with.

The challenge for me with this one was using the fabric that Rachael had on hand AND trying to tie it all in with the panel itself which had those colors in it. I wanted to echo those colors in the borders and accompanying fabrics.

In the end, I really did like this panel. I don’t have any doctors in our family - we do have some nurses though! But this panel is not a nurse panel - it is a physician’s panel.

This collection of colors is just refreshing and fun. I think it makes for a perfect kit because there are several different small parts to this quilt.
