"Shades" finished
Remember this one? This is part of my Upcycled Greens series - #6, in fact.
I did finish this one up quite a while ago now. The problem with not sharing it was because I didn’t have the pattern written. I have promised the patterns when I share the finished quilt - so it’s time.
Here is the backing! These are all second-hand fabrics even if I fail to mention it. That’s why most of them are heavily pieced (some more than others) - just need to use what I have and come up with something to cover the back! I’m happy to do so!
I did this one early in the series - as you can tell as I did this one while I still had some nice grass green colors and darker solids.
I just did straight line quilting on each side of the row of blocks. Both directions.
The very interesting thing of this quilt is how nice it looks from a distance. You can see the design easily.
If you are a sharp eyed person, you have noticed that one of the last few quilts hanging on the line actually had a house in the background.
Yes, these original finished quilt photos were taken in March, 2021 - and there was no house there - but they are building a house in that spot now.
If it does become a problem, I may have to rethink the line. Or at least the angle from which I take photos.
The quilt roll - so amazing! This is a large quilt - and as such, it was a big quilt roll!
Here is the series from start to finish - with this one updated as I am planning on doing each time I finish one of these green quilts.
I did get the pattern written up and put here. I hope it helps someone.
Be sure to check out what Rachael has for you in the store!
Here’s one of the beauties we have!
