Feb. 2022 strips report
It’s early, I know, but I’m done cutting for the month of February. I’ve cut enough. I was actually surprised, but I uncovered a bunch of misc. fabrics once I started clearing out around my ironing board and trying to uncover the floor in that area. I also found a bag of misc. fabrics that were waiting to be cut into strips. That is what this is. I had to mostly iron it first as it had been sitting there for some time.
So, this is what I ended up with
2.5” - 9.92 lbs.
2” - 6.78 lbs.
1.5” - 1.98 lbs.
It was a lot more than I realized I even had lying around in small pieces to be dealt with. Maybe from now on it will be just a tiny bit. We’ll see I guess. Maybe I’ll uncover some more as I continue to work on getting control back of my sewing room. :) It had gotten ridiculous.
That leaves me with this amount since I started keeping track.
That’s a fair amount of strips. LOL
I still haven’t really started tackling those 2.5” strips like I am hoping to get to. I am itching to get to them and start working with them “big time”. I may go through and some up with patterns, use some of my 2” ones or just adapt others that are already out there.
One thing I do know is that it is past time for me to get to work on them. Even though over time I’ve cut up more 2” strips - I have used up so many of them in my 2” series, I really do not have that m any bags of them sitting around. However, I do of 2.5” and I want to use them - not just give them away or donate them somewhere. They are full of potential for beautiful quilt tops!
Anyway…enough of that. Each day just seems like it is too short! :) I want to get about twice as much done but I run out of energy sometimes! Now that the days are getting a bit longer, it is a bit easier to work longer. When the sun sets at 3:30, it is easy to think it’s bedtime at 7 pm!
Thanks so much for coming with me on this quilting journey!
Have a great day wherever you are reading this!
