Garden Update

My garden has been flourishing under the hot weather we’ve been having. By necessity, I’ve needed to spend some extended weeding time. Last time (2020) I had a garden I let it get out of hand (in July) - and this year I really wanted to make sure that I didn’t let it get like that again.

So….I’ve been spending at least an hour a day weeding the last few days - needing to get this work done!

Here are some photos of the plants I’ve got growing. And when you see weeds, be assured that compared to any other year I’ve had a garden, the weeds are being picked - they are in piles all over the ground. I’m hoping they will just disintegrate and become compost.

Sunflowers -

Zucchini - I do have many (10, I think) smaller plants - but this is the biggest one.

Pumpkins -

Corn -

Peas -

This is really all the different things I planted this year - but I hope to have a decent crop of each of these things. Except maybe peas. The weather has been a bit warm for them. We’ll see.

Anyway - I need to take pictures once in a while for my own sake - to see how things are growing.

Have a great day and thanks so much for reading along with me!

(Oh - and one my “bucket list quilts” is a canning jar one. I want to use garden veggies. Maybe ho-hum for some, but I still want to. And I’d love to do one with bugs. :)

And if you are into plants - don’t forget we have some really nice flower and plants fabrics.
