2022 Charity quilts #1-10

This is a pile of boxes I was greeted with after going out shopping today.

Well, I was going to wait til I had my long arm to do these. But things changed, and I need them now. So rather than wait for some unknown time in the future, I am marching forward with these. I should have 20 done and be working on 21-30 anyway. I decided to just go them…now.

Here they are - number 1-10. I will add that I don’t think I made any of these tops. Fran, a lady from Arizona, made some centers and Ewa’s mom added borders to some - maybe I added a few if they are the older ones. Some of the tops were made by Ewa and/or her mom. Ewa helped me quilt two of these - the others I did this past week in between other things.

Here they are! It’s the beginning of the quilts for the year!

I did stack them in a pile. Some of them look a bit warped as they are hanging, but I think they will flatten out better once they sit in a pile for a while. I took them off the drying rack where they hung kind of funny! That certainly didn’t help most of them with regards to their hanging straight!

But before I’m done with them, they will be in another shape altogether! You’ll see!

These are going to be used now - for the refugees. I’ll show you more details about what I’m doing with those in another post. They all have nice backs, so at any time any of these quilts are easily reversible. I’m making pillowcases to match the backs for each one.

Thanks for coming along with me on this journey. Right now things are hopping along at a fast pace!

Have a great day wherever you are reading this!
