This was TOO important to wait til Next Monday's report

My husband came back from Ukraine in the middle of the night, thankfully!

This morning he told me he asked the guy in charge of the camp where he is located if there is anything that he needs that “other people aren’t bringing.”

My husband said, “I know you’ve said you can use pretty much anything, but we can try to bring things your way that others aren’t, if we only know what it is.”

He pointed at the quilts!

“No one else is bringing bedding and it is going to be needed as these people will go back home .”

Just wow. Not that no one else is bringing in bedding - because I’m sure someone, somewhere is, but because it apparently is NOT what others are doing much of. At least not with this man’s contacts.

So, I was very, very happy!

This is the photo of the supply of things we took there. We have much more we can take on a differen tday.

This place is about 4-5 hours driving from here. The time to get there now takes a bit longer as the line at the border is longer and sometimes the checks are extensive.

My husband told me they even x-rayed his truck and trailer coming back through the border. I think they were looking for hidden compartments where people are trying to bring back in cigarettes or vodka or other items that are severely limited. My husband comes back with an empty truck and trailer - no stashing of that kind of stuff for us! :)

The pictures shown below are the Ukrainians unloading the things from our trailer so my husband could come home.

So there you are! It’s always nice to hear that you are attempting to meet a need that is a genuine need!

Thought you should know as well!
