Special Fabrics for This Season!
Today is “Good Friday”. Pretty much all of us at least know what it is. Some of us celebrate it and some of us do not.
For those of you who may not know what it is - it is the traditional day that Christians celebrate the crucifixion of Jesus. Some have special church services - traditions vary from church to church.
Most of you know that my sis and I are Christians - believers. Rachael has done her best to stock a lot of Christian panels and fabrics. Here are three of her crucifixion panels that she has in stock.
One of them is from Quilted Twins and is actually my sis’s own photo. The other is by David Textilies.
We do have several others that feature a sort of “Easter” theme - starting with the Last Supper and others. Let me show you those.
There are lots of uses for these panels. Maybe someone could frame them and put them in a Sunday School room. Maybe a pastor or teacher that you have had would love such a gift. The possibilities are many.
I also like the bundles that Rachael offers that have a Christian theme. Here they are.
These are Christmas themed -
These two items might interest you as well.
Maybe all you want are some Bible themed fabrics. Check the search engine for Bible, inspirational, or religious. Here are some of my favorites.
OK. I realized when I was doing this that all of those above four are WORDS - which I also like. I have a nice collection of words fabrics these days. But that’s not fair. We have quite a few different fabrics. Let’s see. Here are four more. The last of these four is a panel.
Whew. That’s quite a few. But we have more - a lot more. My sis has made it a point to try to get everything that comes out with this type of theme. Sometimes they are hard to come by and she wants to be known as a place where you can find these fabrics!
And that’s it for today. I hope you’ve enjoyed this variation of what I normally do. Maybe there is something interesting you’d like!
Oh - and a few years back - one of the submissions to a quilt block competition made this block. Does ANYONE know who did it? I snagged a photo of it when it was out. I thought it was amazing. It was part of the Cherrywood hand-dyed fabric competition in 2016. Their theme was Lion King. It’s a 20” square but exquisitely done. I am simply amazed at this person’s interpretation - though of course, it wasn’t what I think they meant (the movie). Anyway…if anyone knows who made this block, I’d love to know.
Thanks so much for coming along with me on this journey!
Have a great day wherever you are reading this! I trust this Good Friday is truly a good day for you!
