Busy in the Fabric Shop

This is the busy season at the Quilted Twins shop. And I came in for it!

So, in the midst of getting ready for the Shop Hop and the snowbirds and seasonal guests - I’m trying to sew and help out in the store as much as possible.

Today my daughter popped in for a visit since she and her professor are in the area for a conference in the Orlando area.

Here is a photo of today when my DIL and my niece were working cutting fabric.

My grandson keeps customers company while mom keeps a watchful eye out for him.

Some of you are wondering how my mom is doing. I do sit and eat breakfast with her every morning. Then I go about my day and she goes about hers doing what she does.

This morning she came out to check on me and say something and got distracted and fell down - thankfully nothing broke - but I did help her up and she went back to her room and put ointment on her scratched leg. I am so grateful nothing seems to actually be hurt. She was leaning over to move the floor rug in the hallway when she fell. She does use a walker, or she would have fallen harder. I’m so thankful she is okay.

I’ve been doing some more sewing….

I’ve finished up two more smallish lap quilt tops - and we will be offering them as lap quilt kits soon (by March 1).

And that’s it for today. We have another group of 50 coming in tomorrow morning so I need to get to bed and ready for both that and my brother who is coming in the middle of the night to stay with mom a few days. I actually probably need to clear off the table where I’ve been working so he can use the computer and table as he usually works here where I am all set up. We’ll have to figure it out.

Have a great day wherever you are reading this. Thanks for coming along with me on this journey!
