Got a New Box from Fran!

The first day my husband was gone I spent a while upstairs in my sewing room, leaving the gate locked and closed because I wasn’t actually expecting any couriers.

I was sewing away when my phone rang and the courier guy from the post office said he was waiting outside the back door of the house - by my brick patio where I have all the flowers.

I said, “OK, I’ll be right down there.” When he said it would be a charge of 9 zl or about $2.50, I knew that it must be a box from Fran. The small charge is a delivery fee from the Polish government.

So here is what I got! More charity tops!

I received 7 large/med ones and 8 small ones!

For now I’m just going to take them over to the church building and put them upstairs in the room for future work. There are 15 tops here.

Thank you, Fran, for all you do for the local people here in Poland! She doesn’t really read a lot of blogs, however, so I doubt she’ll see this!

As I continue to work on charity quilts this year - I will put them in this room. As I empty out my long arm room (as I finish tops, they leave the room), I’ll bring more of these bags of tops from this room at the church building and take them to the long-arm room.

The bags of tops are on the floor.

I wanted to show you a couple of recipients from past charity quilt give-aways. It’s a good thing to remember why we do it. The middle photos is a lady who works at a school for deaf children - we gave each of the children who stay overnight there a quilt.

Thank you again for coming along with me on this journey!

Have a great day wherever you are reading!
