H&H Convention - NOTHING about Quilting - All Things Knitted and Crocheted

When we walked into the H&H Conference, I couldn’t tell you whether I wanted to cry or was relieved. I’ve only been to one other mega convention like this, and it was Houston last fall. It was so large that I never felt like I saw it all.

This one, I did feel like I saw it all. I still did not get to TALK to all the people I wanted. As well, I did not get in on all of the free sessions that I wanted to go to, but were offered.

But, what I did get to do was ooh and aww all the talented people who

1) Hand dye yarn

2) Knit

3) Crochet

There was a skill level apparent here at this convention unlike anything I had ever seen. I did NOT stop to talk to most of them, as I really had dedicated myself to spending some time with each of the fabric manufacturers that were there, and I knew that time can just eek away, and you won’t get to see it all.

I’m not going to talk much about these, but I will just show you what I saw. I enjoyed the visions of beauty as much as you will.

The yarns were gorgeous. There seemed to be every kind of yarn.

I’ve also never seen so much crocheting going on. Now I do know how to crochet, so I did find it fascinating, but since the yarns are bulkier and the finished product seems less refined than knitting, I’ve always preferred the finished look of knitting, which I don’t know how to do.

However, here’s some fun and interesting crocheted items (with a knitted one or two thrown in) that seem to be taking the world by a storm right now!

I hope you enjoyed seeing some of what’s going on out there. If you want some simple crochet projects, we’re getting some up on the site daily! Just a few simple ones for your crocheting pleasure! No, we’re not carrying yarn, but we do have some kits, packaged up for you. ENJOY!

Thank you, again, Rachael, for this last blog post sharing your conference. These are amazing things people have made!

I am wondering - do any of you knit, crochet, or make things with yarn?

And thank YOU once again, reader, for coming along with us on this journey!

Have a great day wherever you are reading!
