"Sunny Woods" quilt top finished

Now this one was a quick and easy top to finish up. I had brought back maybe 20 panels for me to work with.

I really liked this “Sunny Woods” panel because it reminds me exactly of the woods behind our house.

I decided to keep this one simple. I echoed the color of the water with the blue around the center and the greenery in the outer border.

I hope you like it!

I know it’s not quilted yet - but hopefully it will get done soon!

I just wanted to share with you a simple top I just finished. Obviously the hardest part of this was the four outer corner blocks.

Oh, and with this type of quilt - I measure and pin and put each border on separately - I do not just “sew on” the borders. I find that sometimes the fabrics somehow get stretched as I put them on and I need that accountability to measure the NEXT one. This keeps the edge from being so off kilter that it ends up curve shaped. However, with this one, I did sew the 5 outer thin borders together first and then counted them as one border. Let me show you.

Anyway - it ends up being 52”x72” so a really nice lap sized quilt.

Thanks so much for coming along with me on this journey!

Have a great day wherever you are reading this!
