More Quilted Hearts

So I got a roll. It was hot and I wasn’t feeling like tackling things that were too big or complicated in between my other projects going on in my life.

So, I worked on these a bit.

I made a variety again. I’m getting ready to start adding a few charms. I’ve been expanding what I want to do with these.

Hint - I’m going to try to add a new layer to the front of one - making a “shaker” type - using some vinyl - will explain where I got it later - and putting some little things in there will rattle and sparkle inside the little vinyl place. I figure I should try - maybe it will be cute! At least in my head it is.

Anyway - more fun with these. As much fun as the children’s ones are, I somehow feel like I should put those near playgrounds and not just as a general one. What do you think?

I’ve been putting more in Otwock - the neighboring town and gaining more confidence about putting these out. I still try to do it when I’m alone in the are, but now I realize that most people aren’t paying a lick of attention to what I’m doing - people seem pretty preoccupied with what they are doing.

I’m trying to practice the layering idea - as on this one with the little bug on the lace.

I’m glad I still have some of that gorgeous lace because I am not totally pleased with the three hearts I made out of it. I want to do better.

I hope that if I can make these beautiful enough, people will want to take them and not walk by them oblivious to their existence! So I’m trying!

As much as red, black and white aren’t necessarily ‘my colors’, this one turned out adorable!

I had this square leftover from a different project, so why not use it? When I found out that in COLLEGE they were taking a poll of the young people - “Which do you prefer - Batman or Spiderman?” and then “Why?” I guess I was surprised. I previously had thought by the time you were 18 neither of these characters were getting any space in your brain.

I kind of squashed that big rose in there - should have used something smaller. Live and learn - that’s my motto - make it better next time!

Once I remembered that I had these cute marine beads, I started to use them with the fish and underwater fabrics. They are perfect. I hope whoever finds this likes it.

Once again - while it turned out cute, I hope that the person has a little boy or girl who loves robots and vehicles and giraffes! :)

I ended up with several featuring children’s fabrics this time.

It was kind of as a joke that I put a lion on the cat fabric.

This particular portion of the design on the fabric was kind of “blah” so I was trying to dress it up a bit.

I don’t know what the underlying character theme is on this print. But I just went playful with the rest.

I do so tend to like to do the nature related hearts.

And yes, these are “my” colors…the pastels and pretty colors. I hope if a guy finds it, he has a lady in his life who likes these colors!

Naturally I wanted to show you where I put them. Because I put these out over the course of more than a week, I may have used the same spot more than once - or even twice. :)

So, if I returned to a place where the other one was gone - well, I put another one there.

Why not? Hopefully the same person isn’t getting them. But there are so many people here in Poland who walk or bike places that that is actually rather unlikely. I haven’t put out that many!

So here they are. Enjoy. This is actually the harrowing part. I try to make sure my phone is ready to take a photo before I ever put it up so I’m not fumbling too bad - and I can snap it quickly and move on.

These are really fun for me. I know I need to get back to focusing on charity quilting but these days when I’m distracted, or not feeling my best, or just have constant interruptions, having small things to do is really a nice thing!

Once again - if you happen to be new here - these are part of the “I Found a Quilted Heart” project.

Generally speaking - no one invites you to join along and make these - it is just something that you think, “I might be able do to that.” I know that for those of us who are quilters - we DO have scraps, usually of both batting and fabric. That’s the idea behind these - using up scraps and making a quick little project to brighten another person’s day.

Thanks so much for coming along with me on this journey!

Have a great day wherever you are reading this!
