Drama on the Home Front - Low Key Style
I was talking with my daughter that we had a bit of drama here. My husband’s rental truck had a “check engine light” come on. Now, we still have several days till we return the truck and we’ve paid a fair bit for the use of this vehicle.
So, he spent some time on the phone talking with someone seemingly in Pakistan, while working out a tow of the truck to the airport where he hopes to come home in a few hours with yet a different truck.
Oh well.
If that is all that goes wrong with anything we are doing or driving this trip, we will count our blessings. However, it is the first time in our lives we’ve ever had something like this happen to a rental we were using.
Have you?
Oh yes - Mike was able to drive it to the tow truck while the tow truck drive actually drove it on the truck.
This is what he came home with.
The only other drama today was keeping my grandson in the nursery so both my DIL and sis could hear my husband talk about Ukraine in the last year with photos. He’s 14 months old and has accepted me.
And that’s my drama for today. Not much, right? Not really - except the truck is a BIG pain as it is taking the whole evening today of my husband’s.
Oh - and the other little drama thing was this - I bought a batch of 12 cupcakes at Publix for the church dinner today - 6 chocolate and 6 white. Which ones do you think were eaten? I’ll give you a hint with a photo showing the leftover ones.
Note - if any of you work for Publix - ask them they don’t sell a dozen chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting? Hmm. Is our church the only ones who adore chocolate?
And that’s all for today’s post. Thanks for coming along with me on this journey. Have a great day wherever you are reading this.
