"Fun in the Sun" - a new quilt kit!

I recently made this top and we got it quilted. Rachael and I chose the fabrics with the border as the basis.

We then went to look for fabrics with the colors and theme that we were looking for.

We were going with the theme “FUN IN THE SUN”. So, we chose surfboards, jungle type plants, sunflowers (part of the pink), and then sand dollars on the light blue. It is so pretty and light-hearted.

I will admit that that surfboard fabric is so fun!

Here is the border that we used to work from color wise and theme wise for the other fabrics.

Here are some close ups of the fabrics. We decided to try for fabrics with greens, blues, and pinks. I played around with the arrangements of light/dark and pink, blue and greens.

You can get this kit here. We made up 36 of these and that is all we will have as we used up all of our surfboard fabric - so this particular version won’t be offered again after these 36 are sold.
