What Did I Bring Back with me?

Well, besides packages of fajita mixes, I brought back a very cool sign!

We had it made at our Pasco County fair.

There was a booth there people who make signs. We had some made for the Quilted Twins’ shop AND then I had the idea that maybe I could get one for my husband’s workshop. However, I couldn’t decide what to say about his workshop or even what to call it. Since it is most of the basement, it isn’t like there is a single room. I changed my mind about that and decided to just get one for my Long Arm room. His workshop fills most of the basement plus an outside garage area that he built.

So this is what I decided on.

Just the other day I noticed it wasn’t actually centered all that well. Oh well. I guess if I was so taken by the words and the color and just now noticed - well, I will just live with it! No, I don’t know where you can get one - check your local fair. :)

The rest of the stuff I brought back is mostly fabric. I have about 20+ panels and myriads of yards of fabric. I hope to design several quilts from Loralie panels - so I brought a lot of her fabric with me so I can use it. Then, I just found some yardage that had flaws in it as we were cutting or sorting at the store and we couldn’t sell it - at least not at regular price.

I brought back some half yard bundle packs - as a challenge to myself to see what I can do with them. I’m sure I will show you when I get something made from them.

As far as jet lag - I did sleep well the first two nights and I’m so grateful for that. That should help me adjust better than anything else.

I haven’t yet been to the grocery store, but hope to go the day you read this - the first two days we ordered kebab and then went to KFC (our tradition now that our kids are all gone) - we still had eggs in the fridge. So, it is time to get going on the freezer cleanouts - hope to get the smaller one on Monday (part of the fridge) and do the big one on Tuesday. I will get rid of all the meat (which is sad, but we had used up a LOT of it already and since prices had risen so much I hadn’t done much stockpiling of meat in the last few months). I don’t know how long the power was out - and I’d rather not take any chances!

I cleaned out the fridge - something long overdue - by years, actually. I couldn’t believe how old some of that stuff was! I was actually ruthless with the fridge. I’ll do the same with the freezer that is part of the fridge.

So…I am getting back into the groove…hopefully soon I will get back on track with being active and doing more than just starting to feel more energetic!

Have a great day wherever you are reading this. Thanks so much for coming along with me!
