"The World" - a new quilt kit offered by Quilted Twins

As I was walking through the fabrics in the store, my eye was drawn to the amazing World panel by Hoffman! It’s a LARGE 42” square panel. I thought it was pretty amazing. I also wondered why we still had so many left!

Then, as I wandered the Science aisle, I saw an interesting planets fabric by Benartex. Amazing. How come we still had that? Don’t people make things for young people or adults who love astronomy?

Well, maybe. Maybe not.

I decided to make up a simple quilt out of the panel and various borders.

Here it is.

We have only 13 of these kits available to purchase. Then we will be out. It is not necessarily an easy quilt as I do throw in two of those 1/2” borders. But I wanted to make it seem “elegant” and those sandy colored borders just raised it to the level that I was looking for. Believe me, I did play with the designs in various ways.

The long-armers did a great job doing a cosmos design. Thanks Jeff and Diane!

I am still on my trip, so please continue praying. I’ll be checking on this blog post after I get to Poland.
