"Peaceful Garden" - top finished

Back to these tops. This particular panel I brought with me from Florida this time. I loved it. It is so pretty all by itself. I think I’m in the mood this year to have some flowers of my own on my back patio. I must be.

Anyway, this one has been done for a while now. It’s super simple and quick to put together. So many people would love to have such a lap quilt. How about a pastor’s wife? Do you know one who means something special to you?

I first made the borders around the panel using various colors found in the center of the panel. With these borders, I carefully measured and then sewed on - each of the borders. This made sure that everything fit as it was supposed to. I then wanted it a bit wider - so I made those more fancy borders - and then only a smallish one on the top and bottom.

This panel is simply beautiful. I’m sure many of you could think of a use for this one!

This makes a wonderful lap quilt size - 57”x74”.

Here is the layout.

And here is how it sewed up - without the binding, of course.

There isn’t a lot to this little quilt - well, all those borders actually did take some time to put on, but in the end, it’s all pretty simple.

Enjoy.

Have a great day wherever you are reading! Thanks for coming along!
