Scissors Sharpening Coming to Quilted Twins!

We wanted to let all of you know that we will be having Scissors sharpening at the Quilted Twins store in Dade City, Florida on Thursday, November 2.

10 am -4 pm - our address is

Quilted Twins
13829 U.S. 98 Bypass
Dade City, FL, 33525

Fred and Elaine will be here! They will set up in the Sew ‘n Shop where we are set up for people to come and sew!

The last time we had them was back in January. Some of you, no doubt, have been waiting for them to come back!

They will do scissors of all kinds and knives as well!

Since we’ve had them several times, here are some photos from a previous visit to the store.

The prices are reasonable. You can come, leave your scissors and knives and then head on over to the store to shop! How about that? You can double dip - :)

Rachael will have the exact prices and will put them in Wed’s email. So look for the prices then.

According to Google, if you use your scissors a lot, you should sharpen them twice a year. But mostly, those of us who sew - we know if our scissors are not sharp. Or maybe we don’t realize quite how dull they are but then we get them sharpened!

My what a difference a sharp pair makes!

He will sharpen ANY scissors you have - fabric ones, kitchen or hair cutting scissors….doesn’t matter. Knives - kitchen knives, pocket knives or whatever you have like this that needs it. He can help!

Just in case you didn’t realize it - “the difference between scissors and shears is length and design of the handles. Scissors are smaller than 10” with two identical handles while shears are 10” or longer with one rounded bow for the thumb and a longer more elliptical bow for two or more fingers.”

Scissors on the left; shears on the right

And here I will share just 4 of my favorite scissors themed fabric from the store here.

So remember - THURSDAY!

Be there.

Thanks so much for coming along with me on this journey!

Have a great day wherever you are reading this!
