Finished!

I finished all the charity quilts - all the bindings are finished and they are all on the main floor of the house!

And now I’m feeling the let-down.

I have a couple other things I want to do but I just feel so. very. tired.

So I’m not going to do those things today. I’m going to relish the idea that I finished! (I did finish 6 this morning…I’m writing this in the late afternoon.)

Rachael has so many things for me to do for her - and I’ve got some patterns to make up for the Shop Hop 2024 plus figure out my long arm (to get it going with the program), plus more cutting and more patterns and lots more sewing!

So much.

But for today - I think I’m going to allow myself to just relax and not do those things that are waiting for me. Maybe I’ll just go and clean up in the sewing room for an hour or so. That will make me feel better.

Oh - I did put a few of those hot cherry peppers in the dehydrator this afternoon. That was fun.

And yes, it’s crazy. I’m not even one of of those people who love “hot”. But, I do not mind “medium” salsa. I was intrigued to try these pepper plants in the garden - so this is the first year I’ve had any success of any kind with peppers. I may not grow them again - we’ll see.

These 50 little peppers are just the tip of the iceberg of what is out on my 7 plants. I have a few people at our church who told me that they love “hot” so I will pick a little baggie full for each one.

Thanks so much for coming along with me. Thanks also for putting up with all this charity quilt stuff. I’m not sure why this year was so hard to get it done, but I’m so happy to have them finished in early October - and not late December!

Have a great day wherever you are reading this!
