It's Good Friday!
We are probably all pretty much aware that Easter Sunday is coming up this weekend. Many of you probably realize that my sis and I are involved in ministry and we and our families are are Christians.
So, today instead of yet another quilt top, project, daily happenings, or something else I thought I’d just take a few minutes to share with you the cross panels we have.
The first panel is ours.
Rachael took the photo at an activity here in Florida because at that time there was not a good crucifixion scene panel available. For those of us who are Christians, the crucifixion and subsequent resurrection are crucial to our faith.
After my son did some tweaking to the panel Rachael began to search for someone to print it for us. She contacted a couple of fabric companies about the possibility of printing it. One of them did print it for us! At that time, there was pretty much nothing like this available on the market.
Here is a kit that we put together using this quilt panel. It’s a deal - only $37!
Since that time, we have seen that these have also been produced:
Then, finally we have one that is called an Easter Parade Floral Cross. It’s here.
Finally - I found this video of the church where my son was ordained two weeks ago (almost) singing Hallelujah for the Cross. You can check it out below. I know it’s an old video and the quality of the recording isn’t professional - but that’s not the point. You should take a couple of minutes to listen! And yes, they really were that good. It’s the congregation singing!
I trust you all have a good day today - a great one, in fact. The death and resurrection of Christ is the foundation of our faith, as I mentioned before.
It is our privilege to get to take some special time each year to celebrate it and reflect on the gift of eternal life Christ gave through His death.
Thanks so much for coming along with me on this journey!
Have a great day wherever you are reading this.
