A gift in the works

While I’m in Florida I am having a hard time finding time to actually sew. It is a real struggle. I came wanting to make a quilt for a friend from a long time ago but it’s been a while.

So, just in case she is reading this, I’m not going to give away too much more. However, there will be more to this than just this queen size quilt. I’d like to make it more like I made the Alaska set I made friends of ours who have been pastoring small works up there for years and years.

Remember that one?

Well, this one is sort of like that but not as extreme. I don’t have an embroidery machine down here so I can’t do much with it from that point of view.

But I’ll do what I can. At least I have plenty of fabric to choose from as I work, huh?

Anyway, here is the top and a few close ups.

There was not room in mom’s house for a photo of this one the floor. I took it outside.

I’ll share more details after we give it away and the recipient has it in her hands. :)

I’ve been going, going, going while I’ve been in Florida. It’s crazy.

I really want to share more about this project, but just can’t yet. Maybe next week. Or the week after. :)

Thanks so much for coming along with me on this journey!

Have a great day wherever you are reading this!
