“Simply Crumbs”

I had saved out a bunch of similar smallish pieces and made some little 4.5” blocks. I ended up just sashing them and calling it good enough.

Then, to help it feel like it was “wilderness” or “Alaskan” I used wolves as the border fabric.

It’s not a large quilt since I quit when I was finished with the blocks I had made. I made this top from discovered blocks in the sewing room in March, 2023. I didn’t want to make any more blocks so I just stopped at the point when I was finished with my blocks that were already made.

Yes, I usually make larger quilts than this, but I was so determined to get some of these blocks made up (this was just one of several smaller projects I finished in March/April, 2023) that I figured it would have to do.

I’m really not sure what to do with this little quilt. I’m still considering.

I’m not planning on keeping it. I’d like to find someone to give it to.

While I call it a crumb quilt, the pieces are large and not technically what I think of as crumbs. But that’s what I’m calling it.

And here’s the quilt roll:

And the quilting.

It would be great for a smaller child - maybe a two year old who might like the back. ??

I don’t think this is a particularly spectacular quilt, but I had hated to just lose those smaller pieces. In the end, this one is disappointing to me as I think it is quite “blah”.

But it’s done. And that’s a win.

And so I’ll move on. I suppose it’s important to show you that not all my quilts do I consider a “win”. Sometimes they just aren’t.

Thanks so much for coming along with me on this journey!

Have a great day wherever you are reading this!
