Cherrywood Hand Dyed Mini Quilt Display at Daytona
When we went to Daytona’s Quilt Week, we were able to view the absolutely amazing collection of small quilts that make the rounds each year from the Cherrywood hand dyed fabric collection.
This year’s theme is Poppies. They mentioned that red poppies represent remembrance and sacrifice, so they seemed to really want ones having to do with people who died in wars.
I was speechless, and I wished I had had more time to just absorb the quilts.
In Poland, in the spring, we often have red poppies on the sides of the roads - as wildflowers that reseed every year.
Stunning, amazing, thought-provoking, detailed. All these words flashed through my mind when I saw the quilts.
Let me share my closeup photos with you. It’s really the best way to let you see what I saw. At least, sort of that.
Every single one of these was amazing. If you do a search on line for the Cherrywood Hand dyed traveling display, I suspect it is somewhere on line. Rest assured, no matter how good the photos, it is better in person. If you have a chance to see these works of art, make sure you take the time and go!
For me, these were the best quilts in the whole Daytona show. I was moved by them!
Thanks so much for coming along with me on this journey.
Have a great day wherever you are reading this.
