So have you seen any fabric that is harder to use than this one?

We have this mask panel and Rachael asked me to try to figure out something to make from it.

Let me show you the panel.

It is called “I’m really smiling” and it is incredibly hard to figure out a way to use it.

Obviously as masks - it isn’t going to be needed. Supposedly they say fabric masks didn’t do anyone any good, so should another pandemic come next week (!!!), these aren’t going to be in demand. But as fabric, they are well done, and actually very colorful. I don’t like some of the designs - they are really awful, IMO - specifically the skulls and bones masks

So, let me show you what I’ve been doing.

I hope to show this one to you as I do each panel.

I have used up one panel - minus the white sections -- plus some white yardage.

You can buy one here -

All by itself, it can be a scrap quilt - and with the white, it is working. Since this is one panel, I will try my best to add 3 more - and I’ll attempt to show you the progress as I do it - and let you see it grow. I tend to do that with 1.5” strips quilts anyway. They are slow and deserve all the exposure they can get.

This top is about 48” wide by 15” long so far. If I keep up this rate, the top should end up being 48”x60” with the use of 4 panels.
