A second Baby Quilt - Quick Strippie

The next day after I made the baby quilt featured yesterday, I was handling the bits and pieces of the leftovers and realized I had enough left to make a Quick Strippie quilt!

I had briefly thought about cutting those strips into 2.5” strips but tossed that idea aside in lieu of the Quick Strippie.

So I made that quilt that day. I pretty much used almost all I had left of the fabric I had.

It was actually very quick to put together and I made it probably in under an hour - maybe more like 30-40 minutes. It’s not very big - about 40” wide by about 55” long and you can see it wouldn’t take very long to sew those long strips. I used white as the white little strips - cut at 1.5” to provide brightness to the quilt.

After pressing, I chose a backing fabric from my Polish fabrics as this one was about 40”x 55” or so I could easily use a piece that was 60” wide without having to piece it.

I then went down to the long arm and quilted it very quickly.

For this one I chose to do big loops and hearts. I tried to go BIG and loopy.

I then used scrappy binding and got it finished. For this one I used poly batting - for the other one - I used 80/20 batting.

I had enough of one of the coral fabric to go ahead and make one pillowcase, so I did that.

So here’s the entire set.

I hope Jessica and Evie get a lot of use out of both of these quilts!

Thanks so much for coming along with me on this journey!

Have a great day wherever you are reading this!
