Projects Found: 12 Large Blocks

Right now my son and his wife and my grandkids are here so I am somewhat limited on time and even less on focus.

In my cleaning up the things in the two rooms in order to make room for them to sleep, I came across several “projects”. That means, blocks that were stored together, obviously meant for a top of some kind.

For the next few days I will show them - unless I have time to write up something about them being here. I know that would be nice, but we’ll see. That may have to come later.

These blocks were all together and I believe I already put them all wonky - several years ago now.

I needed to do that because they weren’t all the same size, so I added strips to the sides and cut them all to the same size - 12.5”, I believe.

I have 12 blocks, so I will use a typical 3x4 layout with some sashing. The exact layout, I’m not sure.

I may spice it up a bit by adding stars to the cornerstones - putting the star legs on the ends of the sashing pieces - using some of my older looking fabrics so that it goes.

It will look something like what I put above, though I will probably finish out the stars onthe edges and make it about a 60”x80” quilt.

I will make this one with a charity quilt in mind as these blocks were donated to me in the name of charity if I remember right.

I’m off to a castle here in Poland called Malbork. I trust you having a good day!

Will catch up with you later!

Have a great day wherever you are reading this.
