That Ole' Blue Tractor top

A while back we had a young lady whose mom is Ukrainian stay here with her dad, who is an American.

She had seen this blue tractor panel in the room with my fabric, and word came back that she really liked it.

I just chuckled at that time, but I kept it in the back of my mind. I decided to go ahead and make her a quilt. I knew I had to just get going on it and make her up a quick quilt that I can take back to and ship from Florida. Her family lives in Wisconsin now - her dad frequently came over during the early days of the war and helped us and we took over supplies. Her mom was a student of my husband’s when he first started teaching in Ukraine in a Bible school.

That’s the back story. I needed this one to be quick and easy.

The girl has a twin bed, and I wanted the panel to actually be the complete focal point.

I cut up extra fabrics from my stash from a variety of farm related fabrics and just put them as largeish pieces around the outside.

I only quickly snapped one picture of this quilt top on the floor. This is it.

I can’t delay as I have to finish up this quilt quickly so I can take it back to the states when I go back for my second daughter’s wedding. As a result, I will just quilt this one with loops. The girl fell in love with the tractor panel and I hope she loves the rest of the quilt as well.

It’s not really a Christmas present as she will get it in January, probably. It’s just a present, “Just because”.

Note! We still have this blue tractor panel in the store - you can get it HERE!

Thanks so much for coming along with me on this journey.

Have a great day wherever you are reading this.
