"Pretty Petals"

I finished up this quilt which was one by Lori holt that I saw on line.

I had recently made a couple of things that felt similar to this so it wasn’t hard for me to see the design and just make it. It helps that I’ve written a couple hundred patterns.

I did use mostly all Lori Holt fabrics and this design is made as a 60”x80” top. The centers of the dark green is not a Lori Holt fabric.

In fact, the green is the same fabric I used as the border and cornerstones for this quilt top.

I didn’t use a Lori Holt background, however and I made the top mostly or all while we were traveling earlier this year, so I put this together with Rachael’s tiny little Brother sewing machine! I’ll find a picture if I can and put it here.

It’s a tiny little thing but sews just fine.

I’m one of those people who thinks even a small, inexpensive sewing machine should still sew a nice seam!

I am glad to have this one finished - and yes, it is bright and cheery.

I was able to use a lot of small pieces!

This is one of the tops that I’ve been itching to get quilted.

And this is another one in the Lori Holt series of quilts that I’ve been working on.

Here is that series so far. I am seriously loving the bright colors and all the picture blocks! It is so different from what I’ve done for the last 10 years and I’m really enjoying the change!
