"Movie Night"

It’s all finished!

So my favorite American alpine skier, Mikaela Shiffrin is at 99 World Cup wins (the highest ever by a female skier) - and then crashed out in one of the last races. I hope she’s okay!

Anyway - she’s a slalom/giant slalom racer, first of all. This whole skiing thing is big here in Europe as they have the Alps and various other mountain ranges where people can practice. Plus, if you look at the latittude, we’re farther north than you might think. So, while it is easy for me to think we are about the same as say, Pennsylvania, in the USA, it’s not true. Here where we live, we are between Calgary and Edmonton, Canada - which is very far up there!

Anyway - let me share with you some of my TV’s. (I’m conflicted about using an apostrophe mark for a plural, but according to the rules of grammar, you actually can, in this case.)

As I stand back and get the photo - here it is. We’ve not had much snow here in Poland this year so far.

I got the block off of Lori Holt’s website which is beeinmybonnet. The actual link to the page where it is shown is here.

Lori doesn’t use that much purple in her fabric lines, but it does come up every now and then.

I did write it up in my own way - like this - for my own benefit. I usually do that if I can’t easily see the numbers that I need for various pieces or can’t figure out quickly how it is written up. Often using code letters like A, B, C and then making me go back and forth, especially if it between different ‘pages’ on the screen is so confusing to me. I prefer it in one chart or diagram like this. It saves so much time and energy.

I really enjoyed making this pattern!

I may do it again but with the one size smaller than the 22” blocks. I think they are 12”. We’ll see. I’m not really ready to do it again NOW, because first I’d want to find the fabrics for the centers as they should be small prints in order to not have it cut off. And I need to figure out a motif I want to feature. There are plenty, but I haven’t decided yet.

I love the idea that I used all skiing or snow fabrics for the center of these TVs.

And here is the quilt roll.

Rachael now has quite a bit of Lori Holt fabrics. You can check out the packs that she has here.

Here are some more.

Thanks so much for coming along with me on my journey!

Have a great day wherever you are reading this!
