"Quadrangle"

I finished this one!

This one is a very simple but classic design using 4 patches and a cornerstone to create a block that is 9-1/2”x9-1/2”. Then each of those blocks is sashed with a 1-1/2” strip and cornerstones as well.

Here is a close up of the blocks. I did pull from my green 2.5” strips to make the blocks. I also pulled from my whites/tans bag for the tans.

I ended up liking it better than I thought I would. I knew that I liked it just fine - but as a finished quilt, it ended up nice. I mean, since I actually was using only scraps - those 2.5” strips, etc, this was in no way a coordinated effort other than using greens/tans-beiges.

I am also considering making this one in a variety of colors because I really do like how it turned out.

I could easily do this one in pinks, reds, blues, and black/grays - without a problem. Maybe even yellows, but I probably won’t. I don’t think I have enough oranges or purples to make one. But we’ll see. I would definitely do pink/white and possibly even Civil War colors (or burgundies/navies/dark browns) with tans again.

Here is the quilt roll:

This one ended up being a large quilt - and I will probaby end up donating it to charity as I can’t keep them all! In the meantime, if I found a person - though not officially a charity recipient, then it can go for that purpose as well.

Anyway - it’s done now. It was easy - those four patches could be easily done alongside a more difficult or complicated pattern.

Thank you so much for coming along with me on this journey.

Have a great day wherever you are reading!
