I made a very quick dinosaur quilt!

I put together a very quick dinosaur top before I went to the wedding - so that it could be quilted by one of our long arm quilters.

I’m not planning on making it into a pattern, so let me just show you the top and how it turned out - at least as best as I can.

Here’s the layout I used. The fabric in the border is just an approximation as I found a fabric in the Electric Quilt program that had a similar coloration as the one we used.

It is going to be a present for one of Rachael’s grandchildren, so it’s not actually in my possession at the moment.

The panel was one we did have here in the store - and still do.

I did have to piece that outer dino print, but I did the best I could with what I had (fat quarters). It’s not great, but the quilt is for a small child, so it will be fine.

And these are the photos I have so far. The quilt was quilted while we were at our daughter’s wedding and is now in Rachael’s possession.

And here’s a close up of the quilting. We wanted kitchy - so dino pawprints were perfect.

And that was the first really simple quilt I made while in Florida for my daughter’s wedding. It may be the only one I piece, though there is another small one I’m trying to get done as well.

Thanks so much for coming along with me on this journey.

Have a great day wherever you are reading this!
