I made it back!

I arrived in Poland on Saturday about noon with my carry-on. My checked bag was elsewhere - I think it was stuck in Heathrow.

My husband arrived the day before I did, so I’m thankful that he was able to pick me up and get me home. We had had so much snow that he had been busy trying to get the house back warm, clean up snow and fix a few things the snow caused problems with.

I’m glad to be back, and after a few days of some serious jet lag, hope to be back in the saddle, working hard with some more charity quilting, making up some new designs and getting some of my big projects done!

I did make a personal goal while I was back in the states to make (at least) 1 quilt a month from some of my favorite fabrics. I find myself pushing them to the side and working on strips and scraps. I’m kind of worried that I will never get to my beautiful fabrics due to being “afraid I’ll mess them up”. So, I’ve decided there is no time like the present and I’m going to attempt at least one a month with some of my beautiful fabrics that maybe I even purchased at full price before we had our store. (!!)

My checked bag did arrive on Sunday at about 2:50 pm, so that was wonderful. It was full of some amazing goodies which now I will work on finding a good place for until I can use them up.

(FYI - that bag was mostly full of Lori Holt, Tim Holtz, and Janet Wecker Frisch plus some various individual fabrics that caught my eye as I was helping in the store.) I actually restrained myself because I know how much I have here at the house.

So, I’m back now, have one day behind me of the worst jet lag, I hope. Tonight is typically the night one doesn’t want to go to bed, so hopefully that won’t be the case here.

I’m off to cut up some “kits” for charity quilts now - gotta whittle those bags and bags of tops I have down to a more manageable number and working towards having ready to quilt tops in my storage room at the church. If you’ve been reading here, you know that I have been taking tops I’m not ready for to store at the church building til I could handle them - both emotionally and physically/time wise.

. Thanks again for coming along with me on this journey!

Have a great day wherever you are reading this.
