"Purry Stars"

I finished up this top which I had made in the middle of 2024.

The pattern is by Corey Yoder and I bought the pattern back in the late summer, I believe. I made the top shortly after that and it has been sitting in my stack of quilt tops to finish. I quilted it in late November/early December, 2024. I’m just now getting around to showing you due to everything else.

I do really like the pattern and think it will be a perfect quilt for a cat person!

The sunshine coming from the back means you can see a bit of the backing. It’s a pieced one.

Below is a picture of the backing. I put some cat fabric in the middle and surrounded it with other fabrics.

With Corey’s original pattern, she used all the same fabrics for the sashing and cornerstone 9 patches. However, I didn’t have enough of one of these types of fabrics to use all the same fabric. So, I decided to go scrappy with them.

The quilt roll.

I did use Lori Holt fabrics for the most part. It kept the colors bright and happy and I don’t have any of Corey’s fabrics anyway. So, I wanted this one nice and cheerful.

And finally - a nice shot of the sunny day in the yard in Poland with the quilt.

I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing these photos.

Thanks so much for coming along with me on this journey.

Have a great day wherever you are reading this!
