"Quilty Fun" finished - FINALLY!
This was almost the first quilt top I started when I started with my Lori Holt adventures.
This is a classic row quilt and it took me quite a while to finish it. For some reason, even though I liked the idea of picture blocks, I had a hard time keeping interested in this quilt top.
This is the main pattern in the book Quilty Fun - found here on our website!
But I did like it - and I can’t explain why it happened that I lost interest. But I did. I think part of it was the original border that Lori put on the quilt - it was green gingham and I really disliked it!
I supposed I knew I was going t as I refused to put a border on there I didn’t like - after all, it is my quilt!
As I discussed when I finished the tops, I decided to just go ahead and make a scrappy border with various colors of Lori Holt fabrics.
I tried to go from light to dark and then moved from one color to another.
I want to leave this quilt roll big so you can see some of the blocks close up!
This is just a classic row quilt - with a lot of fun blocks!
You can take one row a month and make it - slowly. It ended up so really nice!! I’m really in love with it now!
And so now you can see the current status of my Lori Holt series.
Thank you again so much for coming along with me on this journey!
Have a great day wherever you are reading this!
