Christmas in July at Quilted Twins

Quilted Twins is featuring some Christmas in July specials!

Can you believe it is already halfway through the year?

Check these out!

First

First of all, some of the Christmas fabrics are marked to $5.99/yard - by MDG. They will be here.

There are some mighty nice fabrics here and lots of fun themes! Get yours now for a great price on these fabrics!

Secondly

Our second Christmas in July special for you all is that for every person who orders ON LINE $70 or more, you will get a free swag bag. These are bags that we gave away during the All Florida Shop Hop earlier in 2024. We had some leftover, so we’d like to share them with you!

Here is what you will get.

  • a bag

  • a half “2.5” strips roll

  • a fat quarter

  • a pattern

  • a 6” ruler

  • and a snack!

Such a deal!

This bag will be limited to one per week per person. Obviously if you want more than that, get your husband or kid to order $70 worth on their own account! :)

So don’t delay - start getting your own swag bags NOW! Order this week ($70+), do it again the second week, and then again the third week and then the fourth week in July and you can get yourself 4 swag bags! Now you’ve got enough to make something else with all that extra fabric! The snacks will probably be gone and you can share the extra patterns with a friend!

I wanted to show you that I’ve been making some hearts with a Christmas theme as I just always seem to run out of time in December. Let me show you! I’ve finished the first set of 20 and here’s an overview picture (details will come later in the year) and a picture of how I make them. I tend to decide to try to do 20 at a time, and then work on them in an assembly line method, doing one step at a time on all of them, then moving on.

First twenty finished lately.

After they are quilted, and cut into the heart shape, I add ribbon or lace or something to put on the front to give it a little extra pizzazz - if I have something that goes. I try anyway. Sometimes the fabric is so busy and full of things I have a hard time covering it up.

This step will involve adding beads and then the hanging ribbon comes yet.

Most of my Christmas beads. I also do have plenty of red and green ones.

Preparing the hanging ribbons.

The last step involves adding other embellishments including buttons, charms, or things that need to be glued on.

I’ve noticed that a lot of these are so busy that my charms will just be overlooked. So I may make some quieter/calmer ones with maybe some solid colors and/or silver/gold so that charms show up better. We’ll see. These first ones have so much color in the fabrics that I will just work on that in the future.

And there you are. I’ve been in the “Christmas in July” mode for a while now!

I do tend to put a button right over where the hanging ribbon is sewn on. It kind of does double duty - adds interest plus covers up the sewing line. :)

So there you - Christmas in July is coming to the Quilted Twins!
