"Quadrangle" - another 2.5" top finished
I found this simple pattern by Moda featuring a single block and decided to make it a big quilt!
Here’s the link to the pattern. The name is the name Moda gave it - and simply represents the shape of the block.
I chose to use greens and tans after seeing a video where she also did it. I am trying to make at least 12 quilts in 2024 from my 2.5” strips. This will definitely qualify as one of them.
I did literally pull from my bag of 2.5” strips for the green part. I did not for the creams. I went ahead and cut those as I had used up a lot of my whites and creams from my 1.5” bags. I just cut those from mostly second hand fabrics I was given a while ago.
I really do like the finished top. It’s beautiful in its own way. I will probably like it much better after it is quilted.
Here are the other ones that I’ve made in this crazy 2.5” strips series of quilts. I’ve been all over the place with it and have so many started already but not finished - it’s actually been something for me to think about. I am doing a few of my favorites from my 2” series as 2.5” as so many people do not seem confident enough in their math skills to take a 2” pattern and adjust it for a 2.5” strips.
Let me share with you this series so far.
Thanks so much for coming along with me on this journey!
Have a great day wherever you are reading this!
