July Strips cutting report

Wow. This month has just flown! I mean just flown by. I don’t see how days can go any faster than these have gone.

I suppose that’s a good thing, right? When days drag by, that is not a good thing. That means that a person is bored, or upset or something.

This month I actually spent quite a bit of time cutting up my leftovers from the Lori Holt fabrics into 1.5” squares for a very small granny square quilt. I’ll piut my pictures of the baggies here. I will be working out of these bags for that quilt. I want to make one in both sizes - 1.5” and 2.5” squares.

Anyway the totals are here -

1.5” - 0.77 lb.

2” - 2.09 lbs.

2.5” - 3.30 lbs.

This makes my totals for this year to be

And my totals since I started keeping track of strips here.

While I didn’t do a lot this past month - I did do some. I will try to keep trimming up in August and hopefully get caught back up as I’m a little behind.

When I cut things into squares, it does take a lot longer to ‘handle’ a group of scraps. I look at it as it is, however, and that is in cutting out another quilt top while I’m at it.

So there’s that.

And that’s my July strips cutting report!

Thanks so much for coming along with me on this journey!

Have a great day wherever you are reading this.
