"Tulip Patch" quilt top finished!
I was able to finish up my Tulip Patch quilt top.
I tried to get outside and get a photo, but I decided it must just simply be too windy here in Indiana to get a photo of a quilt top lying on the ground. I couldn’t even get to lie down at all - as it kept just flying up. I would have had to run around looking for rocks or sticks to hold it down and I didn’t want to get it dirty.
In the end, I decided to just bring it back in the apartment and put it on the bed and attempt to get at least a sort of decent photo.
If not, well, at least it is something. When I finish it up entirely, after quilting, I will take more photos.
Once again, I took the quilt right out of the book Quilty Fun, which my sis has in the store.
Wait. I did change a couple of things. I added more rectangles at the top and the bottom, and then I added that final green border around in order to make it big enough for a twin bed.
The tulips are all solids but the other fabrics are all Lori Holt fabrics. The pattern is hers as well.
This was the first time I’ve made tulips that looked like this.
The other times I’ve made tulips, I’ve made them like I used in Rock Garden quilt - all along the top and bottom!
Anyway, that’s all the photos I took of this top. Later, when I finish it, I should be able to get more and better photos and share them with you.
Thanks so much for coming along with me on this journey.
Have a great day wherever you are reading this.
