Have a Great Memorial Day
I think most of you realize I write this from where I live most of the time - here in Poland. We do not celebrate Memorial Day as you all do in the USA.
I do remember going to school when I was a kid and in our Christian school out in Tacoma, WA, when I was elementary school - through 6th grade—, we met outside in the parking lot where the big flagpole was and we had a special service and a flag raising. That was a special moment that I remember even now, at the age of 63. These are not my pictures, but it is something similar to what I remember. School out there used to go til the first part of June.
They talked about how some gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country - and I am still grateful to those who gave their all - not because I am happy for them - but because I am thankful for what they have helped us have and be as Americans who live in 2026.
Anyway, because of the upcoming 250th anniversary of the USA independence, we will be celebrating at Quilted Twins from now through July 4th.

The panels we've chosen to include in this offer (as the free gifts) are our choice, unless you come into the store and then you can choose from the ones we've selected! they are mainly ones used for decorating buildings and rooms, and not appropriate, necessarily, in and of themselves for Quilts of Valor.
I wanted to add if you do not prefer this kind of free fabric, you can always turn it into strips and use it as fabric - 2.5”, 2” or 1.5” strips or even turn it over and use it as a base for string blocks - or make applique pieces out of it. There are lots of things to do with fabric with lots of color on it!
