Hearts Again!
I decided I needed to get another 20 hearts out here in Poland because the weather has been hot and dry.
Why not?
People are out and about during this time.
Why not go ahead and put them out?
It means that I have to take time from my sewing, but it’s okay. It also gets me outside.
I saw that someone reported one of my hearts that I had put in the woods, so I decided to do it again, hoping that a child would once again maybe help his/her mom find it.
Let me show you the last person who reported one. This makes 4, I think, that have been reported from here in Poland. Just enough to keep me encouraged. :) But yes, I still have a lot of them already made up so I need to keep putting them out!
Here is a one-picture update of the hearts I just recenty put out
Here are the larger pictures so you can see them up close.
I have not always taken photos of where I put them, but I took a few. In the end, it doesn’t matter if I show the pictures or not - but I will say that I try to put them near grocery stores (on bushes), in the woods, or wherever I can find decent places where I can put them out without being obvious.
I am still putting out the hears I made last year when I worked on all my charity quilt labels. So, that’s fantastic. I would like to up the speed at which I put them out and get most of them out this calendar year. :)
The weather here has been mostly sunny and bright, so I decided to get on the stick and get these out! It’s past time for me to get back on it.
I left some in FL near the shop back in August, but never heard that anyone found any of them :) Oh well.
If any of you are wondering what this is about - check out www.ifaqh.com to get the overview of the idea of putting out random hearts for people to find.
If you want more in person feedback, there is a Facebook group called Look! A Quilted Heart! and the people there are very helpful and you are free to share what you are doing with them and ask questions, etc.
I find that Facebook group (Look! A Quilted Heart) is very supportve group for the makers, which is unlike the official www.ifaqh (I found a quilted heart page or website) which isn’t supportive to the makers as it is all about the finders. I like seeing both. :) I like the comraderie of chatting with other heart-makers and of course, love hearing the random stories of the finders.
Anyway, enjoy. My mom likes seeing the hearts, so maybe you do too!
Oh - and you can be assured that by the time I share this post to let it go live, all of these hearts are “out and about” on various trees, shrubs, or chairs hopefully soon finding a new owner!
We are still having about 80F weather every day - though in a few days about when this is scheduled to go live, it is going to be 70F for a couple of days. That will be a nice change! But then it’s supposed to get warm again!
Note - after I wrote this post, I began searching on the ifaqh website once again to see if anyone had found anymore of mine. I found three more under “Polska” intead of Poland.
Let me show you those people and the found hearts! That was so exciting to me!
Thanks so much for coming along with me on this journey!
Have a great day wherever you are reading this!
