Trying something for the first time!!!!! So glad we did!

On Thursday, Sept. 3, we decided to give this event go! We decided to try to do a joint effort with TOPS out of Tampa, and have them bring in machines for an embroidery event!

And bring machines they did!

They brought in 14 of the biggest boxes I’d seen in a long time!

We all got there quite early, and they set up the internet and the machines, while we hung signs and puttered around trying to act like I had some idea what was going on.

Around 8:30 the first ladies got there. It had taken a bit too long for us to get the internet hooked up, so they were a little behind in setting up the machines, so I entertained some of the ladies in the end room, showing off Ken’s area where he cuts, rolls, and prepares fabrics and battings!

Then, the ladies piled in, got tables, and started their day.

It was a fun, chaotic day for me. I kept running down to check on things, and making sure that it was all going well. However, TOPS had brought 3 team members, plus the machine delivery man, so they had the situation well in hand!

In between learning, they had mini muffins, coffee, and fruit for breakfast, plus pizza for lunch!

By the end of the day, the ladies all had beautiful Messenger bags done, plus most had bucket hats made!

To top it all off, many of them came down and saw us at the store!

Here are some pictures of their finished projects!

The ladies had a wonderful spirit, and a lot of fun!

The TOPS team was amazing as well! Brian is the main manager who made it all happen; Angela (right) is the one who taught how to use the machine, and Kathryn, in the middle was the unwitting middle-lady between Brian and me to get it all coordinated! Interestingly enough, she is here in the middle as well!

Kathryn has been asked to come back and teach a pumpkin class ... and the project is shown below the team picture!

This class will be provided exclusively by TOPS for those who purchased machines during this event! Stay tuned for announcements about it.

Thanks so much for coming along with us on this journey!

Have a great day wherever you are reading this!
