Early September Garden update
In September, the garden becomes something. It is when you begin to actually see “the results of your hard work if you haven’t already”.
So here’s where mine stands.
I was a little late in getting mine going as it was cool in May.
But here are some pictures and status reports.
Beans -
Tomatoes -
Corn -
Pumpkins -
Zucchini -
Small pumpkins -
Flowers - they are beginning to show their age. I will soon trim off all the flowers to that the strength can go into the root sytem and not into making seed. At the point of this picture they are in desperate need of trimming.
So there you are! My garden is quite late this year. Normally we are almost done with corn - but so far this year we’ve not had our first bite. We’ll see if I get any. Pumpkins are very much behind.
Sunflowers are getting ready to open!
Did I mention I am late this year?
I hope you enjoyed this update!
Thank you so much for coming along with me on this journey.
Have a great day wherever you are reading this.
While I wrote most of the blog post earlier in the week, I snapped this photo on Thursday, Sept 3. Today is Sept. 4. My first sunflower of the year. Yes, that’s how late everything is for me.
Be sure to check out what my sis has for you in the store here!
