"Long View" finished

Before I left for the states, I grabbed a few tops that I hadn’t finished and was unsure how to do so, and packed them in my suitcase. I knew that one long armer had already contacted me about quilting that amazing argyle bargello - but I kind of want that one to end up here in Poland, so I didn’t take that top with me.

Instead I took several others.

This is one of them.

I actually made the top maybe 3 years ago and it is has been languishing as a top. I love the fabric I used - the pretty flamingoes - so perfect for Florida. The turquoise - such a fresh, amazing blue - that I guess I was afraid of messing it up when quilting.

So, Diane and Jeff did it. Thank you so much! They took this one along with several other tops we wanted done and worked on it along with the others and got them back in simply days.

I only wish I had a nice place to take pictures there in FL like I do here in Poland. I feel so frustrated about that.

I’m sure if I were there longer, I’d have figured out something by now!

But I’ve done the best I could! I asked for pink thread and hearts on the quilting. Otherwise, I’m not a micromanager when it comes to someone else quilting a top I make. In this case, I was so glad to hand it over, I didn’t really need to see it until it was done!.

I’m glad to finally call it finished! After quilting so many of my own, it is indeed “different” for me to hand my top to someone else to finish. I’ll admit, I was fine with it - just different from what I normally do, obviously!

And that’s it for today.

Have a great day wherever you are reading this!
