They Came Back Safely Once again

This past trip they took a lot of quilts once again - but not “most” of the load was quilts.

Here’s the load.

While it doesn’t look full - there is just about the right amount of weight. On the bottom was food and some cleaning supplies. Then we put diapers and some wipes. Then quilt bundles went in the other spaces. The load before the fabric, we had made it too heavy and it made it too heavy for my husband to pull. I mean, h e did pull it, but he could tell it was overweight.

The border crossings are taking longer, so this time, they left at 4:25 from our house and arrived back almost 21 hours later at 1:15 am. It wouldn’t have been so bad, but they were at one border 4-5 hours. They were hoping for an earlier arrival back home, but they just sat there - not moving in line at all for hours.

On the weekly reports, I don’t usually show too many pictures of the actual load, so I thought I’d let you see some close ups.

I had a wholesale place deliver some basics to the church/trailer the day of packing up. This saves us from having to go to stores, loading and unloading.

Collecting things in the garage at the church ahead of time.

A pile of items to go.

Loading the trailer.

Ketchup, oil, vinegar, meat paste, tomato concentrate, etc.

Four, shampoo

Josiah with a smile. He has been good help!

Flour, oatmeal, spaghetti, dishwashing fluid

It helps to be young to maneuver in the trailer once the load starts to get piled higher and deeper

Mike likes to put the heaviest items right over the center axle.

The enthusiastic crew!

There was also some stuff in the back of the truck We aren’t finished at this point, but this is what is here.

Our company, Tim and his daughter, leave in a few hours, so I need to help them get whatever else they want to take back to the states with them.

Thanks so much for coming along with me on this journey! It’s been a wild ride this year!
