Our Daughter arrived!

Lydia, our second daughter, arrived on Monday late afternoon! She is coming for a couple of weeks both to see us and her childhood friend, Julia, who is on the other side of Poland (probably in reverse order of what I wrote, if you want to know the truth!)

Once she gets back from visiting her friend, she should be mostly over jet lag and be around to help on this project. She’s young and is strong! She already helped me bring in 6 more boxes as my husband is having a harder time with the boxes. This way I can inventory them and get them ready to bundle up. My own goal is to have everything bundled up by August 31. Before would be a huge bonus. That’s 10 weeks from now. That would be the equivalent of boxing up 6 huge boxes of quilts a week.

She brought me some quilts and pillowcases from you all that my sis received (or opened) after shipping the last of the boxes.

Thank you very much! This is definitely the easiest way for me to get things. In this load I got 8 quilts - 3 baby ones and 5 ones I’m not calling baby. I say that because it is sometimes hard to define what is a baby quilt and what is simply a lap quilt.

Also, she brought some things from my sis for me to work on for you all. :)

Mostly, of course, she brought herself. That’s the best gift of all! It may be difficult for her to stay here with us old folks, but we are glad she got the time off work and working on her advanced degree in BioChemistry at Clemson (SC) to come and visit.

It’s been a while since we’ve had any of our kids here with us in Poland, so this is special.

Have a great day wherever you are reading this!
