Some Thank you Photos!
So many of you have donated quilts for Ukraine that I can’t and don’t want to ignore you by not giving feedback. This action is still continuing in my life, obviously, as there is a ripple affect. It started with you all by donating money and quilts - and now we have the responsibility to share and distribute as a result of your giving. This will continue for some time until we have distributed all the quilts and used the money you have given towards this effort.
I have given away quilts to a couple of ladies here in Poland who have contacts with refugees. They have distributed them to various people. I have told them I would like photos, so we will see what I end up with.
Then, naturally, we have sent or taken many to Ukraine for people there.
The stories are varied - but everything from “They bombed our house and we escaped with nothing” to “we left Ukraine because my husband asked us to leave so he didn’t have to worry about us while he went to war”. I don’t know all the individual stories, but they are many.
These pictures come from parents, friends of friends, a couple of pastors, and the ladies who have distributed quilts themselves. I am sure there are many more photos coming.
Then, because many of you have given money - this food was distributed to a section of Poland which is quite poor and where the Russians have attacked.
Here is a tiny glimpse into what your giving is doing. These photos were sent by a Ukrainian pastor - so they are a truly authentic picture of these mostly elderly people.
So there you are. Sometimes we don’t get to see the end result of our giving. This helps us all to see where our gifts are going and who they are helping.
