June 2022 Strips Cutting Summary Report
I did do some cutting - a bit more than in May, but not as much as I wanted to. But a bit more is progress, in spite of the chaos that is my dining room/living room at the moment. I guess I need to count my blessings and go easy on myself. I brought some from the sewing room to go through and sort and trim down. Some of what you are seeing are leftovers from making pillowcases.
Here’s the report.
2.5” - 9.25 lbs.
2” - 0.44 bs.
1.5” - 0.44lbs.
Yes, I mostly did cut 2.5” strips. I decided to stick with that size for a while. They do sew up faster than 2” and I have lots of 2”. The smallest size - 1.5” is my last resort, so to speak. I cut those out of the smallest pieces, usually and do not usually set out to cut that size unless I’m actually making something at the time with 1.5” strips.
So now here’s the summary with year to date.
That means for the totals since I started keeping track. That’s a LOT of fabric, folks!
In case you are wondering about what I do with these - I have a whole series of 2” quilts - made from primarily 2” strips pulled from these cuts. Here are four that are available as free patterns. Just click on the photo and it will take you to the pattern.
Thanks again for coming along with me!
Have a great day wherever you are reading.
