The Quilt is Delivered!

I had put it off long enough!

Early this year we were given a beautiful blue and yellow quilt for a Ukrainian couple. it all happened while I was still in Florida. The lady wanted me to bring the quilt back with me and give it to a refugee or at least someone from Ukraine.

The quilt was so nice, that I didn’t want to just toss it into an unknown mysterious “humanitarian aid” space.

I decided that I wanted it to go to a couple who had to flee the western part of Ukraine and who is currently living in Ukraine closer to the Polish border. They are managing to make a living since both are teachers.

Laryssa has a son who is studying here in Poland in our area so she does come back to visit over here maybe 3-4 times a year. The last time she came and went back before I had a chance to give the quilt to her, but THIS time I had warning and was prepared to give it to her!

I also asked her for an interview and she graciously said she would talk to me.

We are talking kind of quietly as the other person in the apartment is studying for an exam in the Polish language. I hope you can hear and understand.

I do appreciate your listening to what Laryssa had to say. Living in Ukraine right now is not something I can really understand!

I put this set of charms on the first of the cosmetic bags I put up on the charity auction.

This was one of the cosmetic bags I recently put up for auction in Ukraine’s colors. I also added a sunflower charm.

And once again - thanks to all you who have helped with our Ukraine help in the couple of years! You are appreciated!

Thanks so much for coming along with me on this journey!

Have a great day wherever you are reading this!
