Another box from Fran

We were eating dinner when we heard a honk, honk! It took a few seconds to realize it was the post office guy - and sure enough - it was for us!

We hadn’t opened our gate because I didn’t know of anything we were waiting for. Oh well.

It isn’t even the normal size or shape of most of the boxes Fran sends.

Here it is, sitting unopened. I didn’t open it for several days due to all the preparation for the Ukraine trip.

Yes, that box cost her $161 to send to us!

Anyway…here are the goodies that came in the box.

I laid out the tops on the floor so I could get a nice photo. At least sorta nice. These are looking a bit different with some fun prints. I’ll be looking forward to working with them.

This box held a lot of beautiful goodies! On the left are the larger quilt tops - there are four. In the middle are the medium sized ones and some small ones. All together on the right are 19 tops. So this box held 23 tops! Amazing!

I do not really have time to deal with these at the moment, so I’ll put them in a bag and take them to the room upstairs at the church where they can be out of my way until I am ready to deal with them. :)

I have so many tops that i am starting to work on now - trying to work down there every day - that I have to clear it out before I take any more charity tops down there. And when I say “clear it out”, I mean, quilt the tops.

I actually am working on some… :) Here’s proof.

While I was in the states, I bought these very cool Quilt Clips. Let me tell you - I LOVE THEM! I’ve only used them on 2 quilts but I’m a believer in them. They are helping me keep things straighter and tighter while still floating the top.

My husband put my sign on the door!

I have plenty of batting - ready to really get down to work on these…you can see I have one already on the machine ready to quilt. I’ve been trying to do that - quilting one a day and then putting the next one on the machine so I can just come down and get it done without the setup time.

And now you know. One more box of tops - More quilts coming!

Thanks for coming along with me on this journey!

Have a great day wherever you are reading.
